MikeMurphy Racing

Mike Murphy Racing was established in 2007 and has first class facilities and an experienced team for the training of racehorses. We are based in Westoning, just 1.5miles from J12 of the M1, which gives easy access to the motorway network and the majority of racecourses.

18 Stables –probably the best in the UK!

The stables were designed for David Robinson (of Radio Rentals fame and leading owner in the UK in 1969) by Sir Albert Richardson (who also designed the Jockey Club rooms at Newmarket). They are brick built which ensures they are warm in winter and cool in summer.

Gallops

We have a 5 furlong soft track gallop with a gentle incline over the final two furlongs

Canter Track

The 2 furlong circular canter track was also built by Softrack and leads into the gallop.

Horsewalker

The covered 6 horse walker was built by Monarch and is invaluable to the warming up and warming down of horses.

Turn Out Paddocks

We have 18 turn-out paddocks which lets the horses relax after their efforts.

Olympic Size All Weather Arena

The arena is mainly used for flatwork, as a nursury for yearlings and for schooling over hurdles. As well as the starting stalls on the gallops we have two stalls in the arena for tutoring young horses to go into the stalls.
